Find Great Entertainment and Food Locally at Daryl’s House

Pawling, New York, may be a small town, but it stands tall with music, where some of the top acts in the country can be heard at Daryl’s (of Daryl Hall and John Oates) House. Rock, pop, bluegrass, acoustic, country, gospel and Celtic music can all be enjoyed at the club in an intimate atmosphere.

Located at 130 Route 22, the club does more than present food for the soul; food for the stomach is served as well. The menu is just as eclectic as the music; on offer is everything from steaks and burgers to Moroccan Lamb Tangine, Barbecued Ribs, Mahi Mahi, Prawns, and Pork Belly.

Seven years ago, Daryl Hall, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, created his Webby-Award winning series, “Live From Daryl’s House.” While it began on the internet, the show is now on the MTV Network Palladia. Daryl often invited friends to his house for an afternoon of music and food so he based the series on the idea Daryl had to “just play music at my house and let people see what musicians are really like when they are relaxed and among friends.”

The series then inspired Daryl’s House Restaurant and Music Club, for while there was a limit to how many people Daryl could invite to his home, by opening Daryl’s House he provided a space where everyone was welcome.

Taking over the location of the former Towne Crier, Daryl personally oversaw the refurbishing of the building, remodeling it in a similar style to his former 1770’s home in Millerton. Daryl has a passion for restoring historic homes which is documented in his show “Daryl’s Restoration Over-hall” on the DIY network. He says he has “converted everything, from the tables and chairs, to the walls and ceiling, to an 18th century style so it looks like a big version of my house. It’s a very early American, New Englandy kind of vibe.”

Comments from reviewers have been consistently enthusiastic: “Really liked how intimate the venue is.  Close up and personal when seeing a show.” “Terrific venue for an intimate musical event – sound quality is good, lighting is well designed and the stage has excellent visibility.”

Hours are 3:30 to close Wednesday through Friday, and 11 to close on weekends. Daryl’s House does caution that they close on some holidays…and  open on some Mondays and Tuesdays, so please call ahead.  845-289-0185
