Pleasantview Estates Recreation Center

Pleasantview Recreation Association is a private-for-profit association of approximately 225 deeded homeowners in Northern Ridgefield. Most of the deeded properties are located on Keeler Drive, Keeler Court, Keeler Place, Beaver Brook, Langstroth, Scodon, Evergreen, Pheasant, Sophia, Chipmunk, Ridgebury, Aaron’s Court, Powdermaker, and Turtle Ridge—-although not all properties on these streets are necessarily deeded or considered “current”.

The 6-acre facility was originally created by a local builder to enhance community spirit while providing a valuable asset to each home he built.

Recent capital improvements that have been made are highlighted by the updates or renovation to the following areas: pool (now heated), parking lot, fences and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts.  In addition, this PRVA approved a major renovation project to the pool house facility.  The project included the addition of a 900 square foot community room.

THE FACILITY INCLUDES

Heated Pool & Kids Pool    Newly Renovated Pool House

Basketball, Beach Volleyball & Tennis Courts

Swings & Play-Sets                Ball Fields                              Pond

A summer swim team (over 100+ kids) program offering fun 6-day per week swim instruction and practice for children ages 6 and up.  A professional coaching staff and a supportive, team-oriented spirit. Individual and group swim and tennis lessons are also available. Each year, the PVRA sponsors special events including a meet-and-greet picnic, an adult band party, teddy-bear picnic, a fall golf outing and much more.

Guest Membership:  The PVRA offers guest memberships to a limited number of non-deeded families living in the nearby community.  There is a waiting list that is filed “first come, first serve” based on the post mark of a letter mailed to the association simply requesting guest membership. Guest members enjoy all of the benefits of deeded members except they cannot vote on policy matters related to the association and their rights are non-transferable.  Currently the wait is about 3 years.
